Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for leading the planning, design and transition of insurance business operations across domestic and international offices.  This includes facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables, project plans, tasks and resource requirements.  Responsible for managing the communications between the affiliated division, key stakeholders and 3rd party relationships.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and consulting in key transformation disciplines (project management, business process, training and development, and communications)
  • Collaborates with internal/external clients and colleagues to complete Discovery, Solution Design and Transformation activities that support the organizations long-term strategies
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate resource allocation between project teams and project timelines
  • Support the design and development of project business cases to ensure expected results are achieved
  • Coordinate status meetings between teams
  • Maintain and provide reporting on project related issues, risks and recommendations
  • Establish project communication plans including status reporting to Stakeholders
  • Create and deliver polished presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Manages stakeholder interaction and expectations
  • Ensure projects remain on budget and all project milestones are achieved
  • Manage and orchestrate the final acceptance of all project deliverables, acquiring sign-off and closing project activities as require
  • Ability for international travel to participate/oversee project deployments. Trips range from 1-4 weeks per occurrence with 4-6 international trips per year

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Extensive Project Management, Continuous Improvement and/or Consulting experience - 4+ years
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Visio)
  • Good understanding and experience with Project Management delivery methods and tools
  • Detailed knowledge of the Project Life Cycle
  • Capable of managing complex issues in a frequently changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong ability to manage timelines, milestones and budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams and business partners
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Bilingual is a must (Spanish/English)
  • Active Passport/US Visa
  • Individual with a high sense of confidentiality
  • Must have availability to work after hours and/or long shifts as needed.


Desired Skills:

  • Obtains and maintain appropriate licensing, professional designations and/or educational requirements (i.e. PMP certification, formal project management education, Master’s Degree)
